Fiction and non-fiction, bestsellers and classics, the Virden branch has a wide array of reading material. As well as printed books in regular and large print, the library stocks audiobooks on cassette and CD, videos in VHS or DVD format, magazines, and encyclopedias. The Virden branch is also a Public Registry for Government of Manitoba documents.

Also of interest is a special collection of local history books and documents, detailing the history of settlement in Virden and the surrounding area. Although the library is not an official archives, the staff can assist you with genealogical research within the scope of this local collection.
