About the Border Regional Library

Border Regional Library is a three-branch regional public library serving the Town of Virden, Village of Elkhorn, R.M. of Wallace and R.M. of Archie. It is governed by a 12-member board, three from each of the four member municipalities.

Branches are located in VirdenElkhorn and McAuley, with the administrative office in the Virden branch. Each branch offers informational and recreational reading as well as reference materials.

Inter-library Loan enables borrowers access to more than one million titles in Manitoba alone, plus worldwide listings through Manitoba Public Library Services’ on-line union catalogue called MAPLIN3.

Border Regional Library board of directors believes that the library’s purpose is to promote literacy, be it through multi-media resources, education, information or recreation.
